2007 HIT-GTA Executive Board Holiday Greetings

With the holiday season upon us, first of all, it is certainly appropriate to say THANK YOU to all of you who have been supportive to HIT-GTA Executive Board in the past 2006.

Happy Holidays!

As the new elected president of the Board, I would like to pay tribute here with a deep appreciation of the former president of the Board Dr. Yan, Hong and other three former executive members Dr. Li, Yi Fan, Dr. Wang, Shan, and Dr. Ma, Ming. They led other members by excellent examples serving our HIT-GTA alumni for the past two years and many years since HIT-GTA formed. They are our long-standing friends though they have left the Board.

Additionally, I am also grateful for the continuous and strong commitment from Dr. Pan, Gui Bin, Mr. Zhang, Guan Song, and Mr. Zhang, Wei to serve HIT-GTA alumni as executive members. Further, I highly appreciate the enthusiasm and augmentation of the executive team from three new members, Mr. Yao Da Ming, Mr. Zhang Zhi Yu, and Mr. Ma Chao. Welcome on board, gentlemen.

As of the 2nd of December 2006, we have seven members who have the honor of serving you in the new HIT-GTA Executive Board. The meeting minutes is attached here and the new responsibilities are:

  • President: Hou, Ming
  • Vice President & Website Administrator: Pan, Gui Bin
  • Vice President & Financial Administrator: Zhang, Wei
  • e-Communication Manager: Zhang, Guan Song
  • External Affairs Manager: Yao, Da Ming
  • Internal Affairs Manager: Ma, Chao
  • Finance Manager: Zhang, Zhi Yu

As you know that we are all volunteering some of our free time serving you, this may not mean the most but the best we can try. Following this newsletter, there will be another one coming out soon after the new board’s first business meeting in the early of 2007. The new policy and activity plans will be unfolded to you including a plan for HIT-GTA alumni’s gathering for the upcoming Chinese New Year. You are more than welcome to make suggestions to us on the plans and activities because this is your HIT-GTA.

Finally, I wish you all and your families a wonderful and fruitful 2007.

2006年12月2日组委会会议议题及决议
1. 新一届组委会成立并选举产生了新任会长（侯明）。
2. 新旧组委会事务交接并向退役的四位资深前组委会成员致敬。
3. 欢迎三位新组委会成员并重新分配了职责。
4. 探讨哈工大—多伦多校友会注册登记事宜, 会后张炜, 姚大铭协助侯明落实下一步工作。(已 决 定 暂 不 注册.)
5. 恢复校友会网站: www.hit-na.net. 姚大铭和潘贵彬负责落实, 李一凡协助.
6. 将校友会组委会成员的电子邮箱,从Yahoo转到Google(会后姚大铭已落实).
7. 张志宇建议校友们及时更新个人及工作联络信息, 便于校友们交流, 扩大联系网络, 增强校友会的吸引力.潘贵彬及马超负责落实.
8. 会议建议于2007年3月3/4日(待定)举办春节团聚会.具体细节,请大家出谋划策.此项活动是下次会议的重要议题之一.侯明会后进一步落实.
9. 探讨与哈尔滨同乡会或其它组织合作承办相关活动(如春节联欢会)的可行性. 张炜会后进一步落实.
10. 更新及发布中英文校友通讯录.马超负责落实.
11. 建议于是2007年元月6日召开下次会议. 具体事宜待侯明落实.
12. 2007年春节之前,将次会议的议题及决定以通讯报导形式发送给所有校友.而且,以后会定期及不定期通过校友会媒体向大家发表相关题材的信息,以此作为哈工大—多伦多校友会的部分活动之一. 侯明负责,潘贵彬,马超, 姚大铭, 张志宇具体安排落实.

1. 发起捐助哈工大贫困学生活动.此项活动号召将以Email形式发给校友. 侯明,马超具体安排落实.
